Clothing Requirements (these are also safety requirements)

bullet

All students must wear a safety approved riding helmet (no older than 3 years) while both horse/pony
handling as well as while riding.  Students just starting out are welcome to borrow a school helmet.

bulletExperienced riders should wear long leather boots or paddock boots along with chaps.
However, new riders may wear alternative footwear such as Wellingtons or fashion boots,
so long as they are round toed and have a broad 1 inch heel.
bulletRiding gloves are recommended, as are breeches (or stretch trousers) versus jeans, which can chafe.
bulletA body protector (safety approved to current standards) is particularly desirable for jumping lessons.
bulletDangling earrings and rings as well as other jewellery should not be worn.
bulletLong hair should be tied back, and hair in face should be held back by a headband if too short to tie back.
bulletWe also recommend you use a sports strap to hold your eye glasses in place.
